HOW IT WORKS Wedding planning can be
complicated, but planning your photographs with me is simple. Here's
the timeline I suggest. If your plans don't fit it, don't worry! Call or e-mail me to find out how I can fit this timeline to your plans. If I'm not booked for your date, we could even make last- minute arrangements. Well, last-week arrangements! Several months before your wedding: Call or e-mail me to find out if I'm available on your wedding date. We can meet to establish a rapport, communicate about what you're looking for and how I can provide it. I'll send you a contract that spells out in plain language everything you can expect of me. Once I receive your 50% non-refundable deposit, I'll confirm the date for you, in writing. Several months before your wedding: You consider hiring me to take engagement pictures for you (this is optional, of course). 2 or 3 weeks before your wedding: You tell me how your wedding day will unfold, so I can plan for it. By the date of your wedding: You pay me the balance, i.e., the second 50%, of my fee. At your wedding: I begin photographing you, depending on how we plan it, some amount of time before your guests arrive. (I recommend starting at least one hour before, depending on your priorities.) 2 to 4 weeks after your wedding: I sort and edit your images, automatically making approximate, preliminary adjustments for color and contrast. In this preliminary state, the images will be mailed to you on a DVD if I shot digital, and as prints if I shot film. Digital shots will also be posted on a password- protected Web site for review and ordering by you and your wedding guests. 4 weeks after your wedding: I fulfill orders as they come in from you and your wedding guests (only if you choose to place orders!) custom cropping and adjusting images according to your selections. At this stage, my adjustmnets are no longer approximate: they are perfected, optimised for color, contrast, brightness, sharpness, and noise reduction. (Ask my competition if they can put this in writing!) I provide you with the perfected, high-resolution, ready-to-print jpeg files and the prints themselves. A month or two after your wedding: You decide whether to order a Wedding Album with me; If you do, then we begin designing one together. |
